There are currently two types of screen printing mesh used in screen printing: nylon and polyester. Although polyester materials have been widely used around the world, screen printing companies are generally willing to use nylon mesh.
 

Polyester screen-printing mesh has many unique advantages such as resistance to solution, high temperature, water and chemicals. In addition, its physical properties remain stable and its flexibility is low when severe external pressure is applied. But compared with nylon screen printing mesh, polyester wear resistance is worse.

Because of its dimensional stability, polyester screen-printing meshes are ideal for printing jobs that require a high level of registration accuracy, such as printed circuit boards. The disadvantage of nylon mesh cloth is its large stretchability and poor tension retention. After a certain period of use, the tension of the screen plate will be weakened, and the screen plate will be loosened and the printing precision will be reduced. Therefore, the screen printing screen fabric of nylon is not suitable for fine products such as printed circuit boards.

Screen printing is a wet printing process that must take into account moisture absorption problems. Nylon screen printing mesh can absorb up to 5% moisture and lose 10 to 20% of strength. Before breaking, it will be stretched by 26 to 40%, while polyester screen-printed mesh will stretch by 19 to 23% before breaking. Today, high-quality monofilament polyester screen-printing mesh has become the thread The new darling of the net printing factory, it is round and smooth, has very strong tensile strength and strength. In the wet state, its strength will not decrease. In fact, it can absorb up to 0.8% moisture. Nylon screen printing mesh fabrics are used only when printing irregular surfaces or three-dimensional products.
